The Healing Project of MN is committed to providing accessible, culturally affirming mental health care for children (9+), adolescents, young adults (18-35), and college students across MN, especially those from historically marginalized communities. We work to dismantle the stigma and systemic barriers that prevent individuals from seeking care, by advocating for equitable access to mental health and holistic health services for all. Our services include:
Healing Minds Initiative
A free program for teens (16+) and adults to reduce stress, trauma, and suicide risk. Participants receive twice-weekly text check-ins, with follow-up support for food, housing, mental health, and other needs.
On-Site Art Therapy
We partner with schools, colleges, libraries, and agencies to provide art therapy sessions for teens and young adults in familiar, supportive settings.
Therapy Services
Rooted in social justice and cultural humility, our therapy supports those facing racial trauma, gender inequities, immigration-related stress, and other challenges. We offer individual, family, couples, and group sessions. Most insurance accepted, plus $10 teen therapy, $20 low-cost options, free drop-ins, and flexible cash-pay.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
An evidence-based, short-term model (12–20 sessions) for children, teens, and young adults who’ve experienced trauma. TF-CBT helps reduce PTSD, anxiety, and depression while supporting caregivers and strengthening family healing.
