Anicca Adolescent Day Treatment Program

The Carver County, Anicca Day Treatment Program is a certified CTSS program through the Minnesota Department of Human Services. The program serves adolescents grade 7-12 in need of intensive outpatient programming (IOP) due to a decrease in functioning because of a diagnosed mental health disorder that has resulted in impairment in functioning across life domains with the likelihood of functioning being restored to typical developmental function through the rehabilitative services of Children’s Therapeutic Services and Supports (CTSS).
The Anicca Program accepts clients from any County. The length of stay is individualized from 3-12 months. Day treatment services are billed to private and public Insurance.
The Anicca Day Treatment program has two locations: 7808 Kerber Blvd. Suite 215, Chanhassen, MN 55317 and 2200 Lyman Blvd., Chanhassen, MN 55317. Both locations have the capacity to serve 16 clients and operate year-round.
Therapeutic and educational services are provided as part of the full day program during the academic year 5 days per week, 6.5 hours daily. Day Treatment program services include three hours of interactive face-to-face groups that include one hour of Group Psychotherapy, one hour of Psychoeducation, and one hour of Group Skills to address therapy needs and skills training as identified in the child’s ITP. Each group is facilitated by at least one Mental Health Professional or Mental Health Clinical Trainee for 8 clients in a group, or one Mental Health Professional and one Clinical Trainee or two Clinical Trainees for groups of 9-12 clients.
The Anicca program utilizes a developmental and relational approach that is person centered, strength based, trauma informed and focused on supportive coaching for positive behavior choices. The program also utilizes program structure and milieu, best practice interventions according to each youth’s individual diagnosis, and CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and goal focused clinical interventions.
Clients within the Anicca Day Treatment program are assigned a primary therapist upon entering the program that provides additional services of Individual Therapy once per week, Family therapy 1-4 times per month, and provides Clinical Care Consultation and Coordination for other needed services and with other services providers involved with the client.
